FRESH INSPO | BATH

According to StudyFinds, the average person spends over 400 days of their life in the bathroom. For real. A bathroom remodel can transform it into a space that supports one’s daily routines with ease. In this month’s blog, we look at some of the newest bathrooms added to our Bath Gallery, learn the story behind them from their designers, and how they can help inspire your new remodel.
Seaside Serenity
“This project was conceived as a serene retreat for clients whose demanding schedules called for a calming, restorative environment to return to each day,” says Bill Livingston, owner of Livcentric Kitchen + Bath.
Livingston describes the remodel as “Inspired by their appreciation for the West Coast and its picturesque beaches, the design draws upon a soothing color palette evocative of sunlit shores and tranquil water.

The straight vertical grain of the Reconstituted Veneer flat panel doors in natural Walnut offered a gentle rhythm throughout the space, reinforcing the overall sense of calm and harmony.” Livingston continues, “The result is a spa retreat that seamlessly blends function and style, offering a peaceful haven in the midst of everyday business.”

Livable Luxury

Designed by Elana Mendelson of Elana Designs and Duane Hatfield of Cabinet Concepts & Design, this bathroom remodel ensures comfort and showcases fine craftsmanship.
“We partnered closely with the homeowners to renovate multiple rooms; the primary bathroom emerged as a defining expression of their aesthetic.

“Drawn to natural materials, soft tonal layers, and rich texture, the client prioritized clean lines and discreet storage solutions that conceal the visual clutter of daily life,” says Mendelson. She continues, “The bathroom became a study in livable luxury, anchored by cabinetry designed for both performance and restraint.”

Historic Harmony
“Designing within a historic home often means embracing its quirks, and this bathroom was no exception,” says Sarah Brohm, owner of Uniquely Anew LLC. Brohm notes that this bathroom is “Created for our client’s son, the goal was to introduce a modern, masculine aesthetic while respecting the character of the home’s original architecture.”
Brohm adds, “The space presented unique angles and ceiling lines typical of older homes, which required thoughtful planning to make the layout feel both functional and intentional.” She continues, “We leaned into a restrained, monochromatic palette to keep the room feeling calm and cohesive, allowing the materials to speak for themselves.”

Brohm says, “Warm wood cabinetry (in an Alder Acorn finish) adds depth and masculinity; while the clean white stone with soft veining keeps the space bright and modern.”
“The result is a bathroom that feels tailored to its user – modern, grounded, and seamlessly integrated into the historic home it lives in,” notes Brohm.

Modern Makeover
Claudette Andrew, Interior Designer with Westborough Design Center says, “The homeowners live in a very, typical New England traditional colonial home; they wanted something completely different for their master bathroom.” She continues, “Like most master bathrooms built 30+ years ago, there was an oversized Jacuzzi tub with a small shower stall.”

Removing a transom window with a larger picture window in a black finish, she also added texture in the vanity finish, complementing the window finish and black tub. “We went from a very traditional bathroom to more of a modern farmhouse feel.” notes Andrew.
