MATERIAL MATTERS

Choosing the right cabinet material is more than a design decision—it’s a commitment to how your space will look, feel, and function for years to come. Siteline Cabinetry offers a range of materials to suit every aesthetic and lifestyle, but three standouts consistently rise to the top. In this month’s Siteline Cabinetry blog, we look at Alder, Cherry and Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF).
Alder
Alder is a medium-density hardwood known for its warm tones and subtle grain. Alder cabinetry embraces the wood’s natural charm, including occasional tight knots and pin holes that add rustic appeal. It’s available in 11 Siteline stains and 16 glaze combinations, from the light Sandpiper to the deep Thicket, allowing for a wide range of looks—from farmhouse to refined lodge.

Cherry![]()
Cherry wood is synonymous with luxury and longevity. Cherry cabinetry showcases the wood’s natural variation—from light vanilla to deep pink—which gradually mellows into rich red and copper tones over time. With 11 stains and 16 glaze combinations, Cherry offers both classic and contemporary appeal for any variety of themes.

Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF)
Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF) is a Siteline designer favorite. MDF doors are crafted for a flawless surface, making them ideal for bold colors, soft neutrals, and custom glazes. MDF is engineered from wood fibers and resin, resulting in a dense, smooth panel that resists warping and provides consistent color depth making it perfect for any paint color.
